  • What is Sidekick?

    Sidekick is a subscription-based coaching and strategic support service for small teams handling communications, content, and events. It’s built for nonprofits, startups, and growing brands that need senior-level strategy — but not full-service agency execution.

    Who is Sidekick for?

    Sidekick is ideal for:

    - Nonprofits and small businesses

    - Teams with junior or mid-level marketing or event staff but no comms director

    - Founders, executive directors, or comms leads who need guidance, not more tasks

    - Organizations with limited budgets but big strategic goals

  • What do I get with a subscription?

    Each subscription includes a set number of “assists” — short, high-impact consulting moments — plus:

    - Access to monthly live webinars

    - Strategic feedback and coaching via Slack

    - Curated templates and tools

  • What is an "assist"?

    An assist is a focused, 30–45 minute engagement where we help you move something forward — fast. You can use an assist for things like:

    - Reviewing a press release or media pitch

    - Helping you refine messaging or event strategy

    - Marking up a content plan or comms doc

    - Providing a second opinion before a big send or announcement

    It’s like a 1:1 coaching session, with structure and outcomes — not fluff.

  • What does Sidekick NOT do?

    Sidekick is not a full-service agency. We don’t:

    - Pitch media on your behalf

    - Build out or manage social channels

    - Execute events or digital campaigns

    - Replace a full comms team

    Sidekick supports the thinking and strategy that help your team do those things better, faster, and more confidently.

  • Why not just use AI for this?

    While AI tools can support basic content creation or ideation, Sidekick gives you access to experienced, strategic professionals who bring critical thinking, deep industry context, and the ability to anticipate outcomes. We don’t just answer. We ask the right questions, tailor our advice to your goals, and help you navigate nuance that AI alone can’t deliver.

  • What are the pricing tiers?

    Starter: $250/month – 1 Assist/month

    Lite: $500/month – 2 Assists/month

    Core: $1,000/month – 4 Assists/month + Quarterly 1:1s

    All tiers include webinar access, Slack support, and access to a template library.

    Is there a minimum commitment?

    Yes. There is a 3-month minimum commitment, billed monthly. After that, your subscription is month-to-month.

  • How are assists delivered?

    Via Slack. You’ll be added to a private Slack channel and use a structured intake form to request assists. Responses are returned within 1 business day, unless otherwise noted.

    What if our organization doesn’t use Slack (we’re on Teams)?

    Sidekick is designed for Slack-based delivery, which allows for seamless communication and quick response. However, we understand not every team is or wants to be on Slack. If your organization uses Microsoft Teams or another platform, we can offer a limited email-based workflow as a backup.

    You’ll still get the same level of strategic support — it’ll just be routed through email instead of Slack. If this applies to you, let us know during onboarding so we can tailor your setup.

  • Who will be helping me with my assist?

    All Sidekick assists are delivered by Junapr’s experienced strategists, managers, and leadership team members. Depending on the nature of your request (whether it’s comms, digital, or events), we’ll route it to the most qualified person on our team. You’ll always get expert input from someone who’s done the work and knows how to guide it.

  • How long do I have to wait for my assist?

    We typically respond to assist requests within one business day — often faster. If you know something is coming up (a pitch, event, or launch), just let us know ahead of time through your Slack channel. We’ll reserve some time so you feel supported when it matters most.

  • Where can I access the templates and tools?

    Subscribers get access to a members-only resource library with templates, frameworks, and reference tools. You’ll receive a link to the private portal once you sign up and choose a tier. The library will be updated with new and/or updated resources each month.

  • What if I can’t attend the live webinar?

    No problem. We’ll send all registrants a private viewing link after each session. These recordings are not housed in a permanent library to preserve the value of ongoing participation and keep content current.

  • Can I use my assist as a call instead of Slack?

    Yes. In many cases, you can opt to use your assist as a live video call instead of Slack-based support. We’ll coordinate timing based on availability.

  • Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

    Yes. You can change your plan at the end of any billing cycle.

  • What if I don’t use all my assists?

    Unused assists do not roll over, but we’ll always check in to help you make the most of your plan. Most teams use them up quickly once they get going.

  • What happens if I need a little extra help one month?

    If you’re running into a particularly busy stretch, we’ll do our best to accommodate. Sidekick is designed around consistent, manageable support, but we understand things pop up.

    Depending on capacity and the nature of the request, we may be able to offer additional assists à la carte or suggest upgrading your plan for added support.

  • What happens if we have a crisis?

    Sidekick is built for proactive, strategic support, not reactive crisis management. If a true communications emergency arises, we’ll work with you to determine if it can be handled within your plan. If not, we may refer you to our core Junapr team for full-scale support. We’re happy to help guide you to the right path, even if it’s beyond the Sidekick scope.

  • Can I talk to someone before signing up?
